WWE.com — MyCareer to make its debut in WWE 2K15

“What would the next generation of WWE video games be without the next generation of WWE Superstars? Thankfully, the WWE Universe won’t have to find out.”

NHL 15 Gameplay Videos Impressions

nhl15-nyr-lak-cele1-wm

EA Sports and EA Vancouver finally, at long last, have shown the masses what their next-gen hockey experience will be like with two gameplay videos for NHL 15. They’ve left little to the imagination, as the videos display the game’s new presentation, authentic arenas, crowds, graphics, commentary, collision physics, equipment layers, puck physics and more.

Being a huge proponent of both hockey and video games — and having watched the videos several times over — I decided to analyze all the changes that will be coming in NHL 15. If you haven’t seen the videos, I’ve embedded them at the bottom of this post.

GamerNode — Battlefield Hardline Hands-On Preview

“Over the last few years, EA has taken the Battlefield series and turned it into a fully-fledged yet stereotypical modern military shooter. Though successful, the fatigue that gamers are feeling thanks to a multitude of installments in this genre has EA believing that it’s time to change up the series once again. In a surprising twist, this change takes it into the realm of cops and robbers with Battlefield Hardline.”

GamerNode — VS Node 52: January Replay Show

“Eddie Inzauto is joined by Jason Fanelli, Mike Murphy, and Josh Robinson to talk about the games we’ve been playing in the early part of 2014 (and the last fleeting moments of 2013). It’s a wide range of game genres, and lots of interesting discussion.”

PlayStation Now, Sony’s game-streaming service, finally unveiled

“At CES, Sony finally revealed its long-mentioned streaming service for games: PlayStation Now. The Gaikai-run service will allow gamers to play “classic” games from PlayStation past instantly with their PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Sony Bravia TV (2014 models and beyond), and eventually, tablets and smartphones.”

VS Node 35: PlayStation 4 lands at GamerNode HQ

“Episode 35 of the Versus Node Podcast takes a break from our series on the last gen, RUDELY interrupted by the release of the PlayStation 4. The next gen is now, and Jason Fanelli, Dan Crabtree, Mike Murphy, and Anthony LaBella take over for a sick and absent Eddie Inzauto to talk nothing but PS4. The guys cover the overall user experience, interface, connectivity, social functions, features, games, controller, and more to welcome the PS4, and the response is pretty positive. Listen in to hear the info you can only get from four guys with hands-on PS4 experience.”

Co-Op Node PlayStation 4 Special

This past Friday, I hosted a seven-hour long livestream focused on the brand-new PlayStation 4 as a special edition of GamerNode’s Co-Op Node, which I regularly host every Tuesday night from 7-10 PM EST. During this stream, I played some Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Resogun, and FIFA 14 in addition to showing off the console’s interface and software.

Following the stream, I made sure to archive this first of what will surely be several PlayStation 4-centered episodes of Co-Op Node. You can find it, split into two parts, through the links below.

Enjoy!

Part 1 (Hours 1-5)

Part 2 (Hours 5-7)

The Evil Within E3 2013 Preview

“In his final role as a game director, Shinji Mikami is aiming to return to his survival horror roots with The Evil Within. The creator of Resident Evil hasn’t directed a title in the genre since Resident Evil 4, and while parts of his latest title show that series’ influence, there are other components that tap further into the psychological aspects of horror. At least, that’s the impression the game left me with after I got to see it at E3 2013.”

Destiny E3 2013 Preview

“If there’s one thing that Destiny showed me at E3 2013, it’s promise. Promise that the company is looking to take first-person shooter gameplay in a whole new direction and bring some much-needed innovation to the genre. The little taste that I got during Bungie’s hands-off demonstration didn’t do enough for me to immediately buy what they’re selling, but the game does have my curiosity and attention at this point.”

E3 2013: Day 2 Games Discussion, Plus A Burger-Eating Challenge?!

“E3 sure makes us GN editors hungry, both figuratively — for games — and literally — for GIANT burgers! We satisfied our appetites for both with this conversation over dinner about our favorite games encountered through day 2 of E3 2013.”
